Good meeting you. This is the other half of what I do, and it only matters to some people.

A license you rent
is a license you lose.
There's a legal way.

Think of me when

Tell me which one you are. The answer is different for each.

A real one

Most people asking about this are really asking one question: can I just pay someone to put their license on my jobs?

No. That's renting a license, and in Florida it puts both of you at risk. Qualifying is the legal version, and it looks different: the qualifier is a responsible officer, on W-2 or holding ownership, actually accountable for the work.

Knowing which one you're being offered is the whole thing.

What you're actually liable for

What a qualifier is. How qualifying works. What you're on the hook for. Renting versus qualifying.

They lose them for bad paperwork.”
