Our cash number and our terms number are two different numbers. If the seller can't hit the cash number, ask about the second one — we can often pay more on terms. Send it anyway. We've closed deals that started as a "no."
This buy box is a guide, not a wall. Some of my best deals didn't fit on paper. If you've got something motivated, creative, or just weird enough to be interesting — I'd rather see it and say "no" than miss it.
